Laura M. Cook
Mrs. Laura Mulling Cook, 96, died Wednesday, Oct.13, 2010 at
Cedar Plantation. She was born in Tattnall County, the daughter of
George Marion Mulling, Sr. and Evelyn Coleman Mulling. She lived most
of her life in Candler County and was the last surviving child of the ten
Mulling children. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker, a member of the Metter
United Methodist Church for 78 years where she taught Sunday school
and sang in the choir. Se was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, K.K. Cook; and son-in-law Albert Gray.
Survivors are two sons and daughter-in-laws, Kelton and Doris Cook
of Metter; Joey and Linda Cook of Sylvania; a daughter, Laura Jean Gray
of Brandon, FL; seven grandchildren, Keith Cook, Sharon C. Coker,
Barrett Cook, Kenneth Gray, Kelley Cook, Robin C. Fowler & Jesse Brown;
eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, at the Metter United
Methodist Church with Rev. Owen Williams and Rev. Whit Byram officiating.
Burial will be in the Lake Cemetary. Visitation will be at the church one hour
before the funeral time. Pallbearers will be Keith Cook, Kelly Cook, Kenneth
Gray, Barrett Cook, Jesse Brown, Miles Coker and Chad Fowler.
